Nigeria: FrieslandCampina WAMCO Appoints Maureen Ifada as Marketing Director
A leading dairy company in Nigeria and subsidiary of Dutch multinational, FrieslandCampina (Nigeria) has appointed veteran industry professional, Maureen Omi Ifada as its new Marketing Director
This appointment follows the exit of the former Marketing Director, Sub Saharan Africa for FrieslandCampina, Chris Wulff-Caesar who departed the company after over 3 years in the position. This move may be part of the transformation and restructuring process within the FrieslandCampina business.
Ifada who was the former Head, Channel & Category Development (Sub Saharan Africa), FrieslandCampina WAMCO officially resumes today in the new position, and she is expected to spearhead the overall marketing direction of the multinational dairy giants in Nigeria.
She is a seasoned marketing professional with an impressive 15-year career at FrieslandCampina WAMCO. She has risen through the ranks, starting as a Brand Manager before being promoted to Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, and most recently, Head of Channel & Category Development for Sub-Saharan Africa.
In her previous role, Mrs. Ifada was responsible for developing marketing strategies across channels and categories, building partnerships to drive sales, and ensuring product visibility and prominence across retail outlets. With her intimate knowledge of the company’s brands and operations, she is well-poised to take on the challenge of leading marketing efforts across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Meanwhile, the former Marketing Director for Sub Saharan Africa, Wulff-Caesar who left FrieslandCampina after over 3 years in the role and previously served as Marketing Director for Consumer Dairy and as a member of the Executive Management Team, is looking to leave Nigeria soon to pursue new opportunities, according to sources.
Maureen Ifada holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Edinburgh. With this appointment, and under Ifada’s direction, the company expects to further strengthen its marketing efforts and deepen engagement across its core markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.
