Nigeria: Brian Munro Limited Elevates Rilwan Shofunde To Marketing Manager, Campari

One of Nigeria’s leading FMCG Companies, Brian Munro Limited has elevated a seasoned marketing executive, Rilwan Shofunde, to the position of Marketing Manager, Campari.

Prior to the elevation, Shofunde was the Senior Brand Manager- Campari & Aperol where he was responsible for overseeing and simplifying all marketing initiatives for Campari and Aperol in Nigeria. He managed a group of over 30 trade marketing experts, brand managers, and assistant brand managers.

He accomplished a notable 27% volume growth for Campari between 2016 and 2022 as per IWSR data, reaching brand from 6 to top position imported spirits brand within Nigeria.

Shofunde retained a 6% growth in brand equity by using music as a powerful engagement platform that served as a ground-breaking initiative and engaged younger consumers. He also reached 17% YOY increase in sales by introducing an ingenious Campari dealer loader distributor loyalty programme, amongst others.

Before joining Brian Munro Limited, Shofunde was the Business Manager at DIJO Communications, a Marketing Communications Company. He was also an Account Executive at Insight Publicis.

Shofunde holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Lagos. He sharpened his marketing skills at Orange Academy and Vegan School. He then proceeded to the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University for an Executive MBA- Marketing, Strategy, Finance.

He also did an Executive MBA Module, International Business at IESE Business School and an Accelerated Marketing Leadership Programme, Marketing,Customer Management, Leadership, and Data Science at Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. Shofunde is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, CIM.
