Khensani Mkhombo is the dynamic Head of Marketing at Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL PLC), has been recognized as MarketingWorld Magazine’s CMO of the Week. This prestigious accolade celebrates outstanding marketing leadership and transformative impact in the industry.

Based in Dar es Salaam, Mkhombo leads the marketing strategy for one of East Africa’s most prominent beverage companies, renowned for its rich legacy and diverse portfolio that includes iconic brands such as Safari Lager, Kilimanjaro Premium Lager, Castle Lite, and Redds Premium Cold.

Khensani brings a wealth of experience from across the continent’s beverage industry. Prior to joining TBL PLC, she served as Brand Lead for Castle Milk Stout at Anheuser-Busch InBev, and held key marketing and promotions roles at The South African Breweries.

Her career is marked by a strong foundation in both customer engagement and strategic brand management, underpinned by a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management from the University of South Africa and ongoing studies at the University of Johannesburg.

At TBL PLC, Khensani’s leadership has been instrumental during a pivotal period, as the company celebrated its 90th anniversary and navigated challenging market conditions. Under her stewardship, TBL has continued to innovate, launching new products and expanding its digital transformation initiatives to better connect with consumers and retailers.
