Konga launches new stores to grow its numbers across Nigeria

A foremost e-commerce giant, Konga announces to the public of adding to its tentacles, which aim at growing the list of retail stores across Nigeria as it commissioned outlets in Lagos, Abuja, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State; Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Warri, Delta State.

As Nigeria’s only omnichannel retail superstructure, the retail stores would enable the e-commerce firm to offer quicker delivery and multiple fulfilment options such as Pay on Collect and Pay and Pick Up to its growing database of customers.

According to the Vice President, Konga Retail, Kalu Johnson, he said the new stores, would function as additional ingestion locations for the over 200,000 sellers on the Konga platform.

Konga launched two new stores in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, located in Lekki and Victoria Island.

Also in addition, In Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, a new store was opened at Commerce Plaza store, located at Plot 1169 Durumi District in Area 1.

For Shoppers lovers in Akwa Ibom State, they can smile as Konga recently unveiled a superstore in the bustling capital of Uyo. The store, which was launched in September, is prominently located on the ever-busy Ikot Ekpene Road by Plaza Roundabout.

In Warri, the new store is located at 37 Deco Road opposite Robinson Plaza. Konga’s patrons in Port Harcourt can also count on taking part in the Konga retail roll-out with the store located at Plot 146, Trans Amadi Industrial Layout, Oginigba, along Slaughter Road.

Speaking on the launch, Johnson explains: “A few weeks ago, we added a number of stores to the list of our stores nationwide. Konga now have over 31 physical stores in place, including the ones located at 22, University Road Abule-oja, Yaba, Lagos; SUG Resources Secretariat at Bayero University, Kano; Plot 11, Block 113, 3rd Roundabout, Lekki-Epe Express Way, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos; Plot 1596, C Close, 4th Avenue, Festac Town, and Commerce Plaza Area 1, Abuja, among others

Furthermore, we are working tirelessly to expand the number of physical stores on the Konga platform. The mandate of the Konga management is to ensure that each of Nigeria’s 776 local governments have at least one Konga store. This is the long term vision and we are on track to achieving this,” Johnson noted.
