Guinness Nigeria unveils new 440ml can for stout consumers

In a strategic move to strengthen its market leadership and respond directly to consumer demand for greater value, Guinness Nigeria has announced the launch of its new Foreign Extra Stout (FES) 440ml Can.

The new, larger format is designed to offer an enhanced drinking experience, providing an extra dose of the brand’s signature bold richness and full-bodied character. Guinness states that the innovation amplifies the rituals of pouring, enjoying, and sharing that are central to the brand.

The launch arrives as Nigerian consumers become increasingly value-conscious, seeking products that offer more without sacrificing quality. The 440ml can is positioned as a direct answer to these evolving expectations, combining increased volume and convenience with the uncompromised taste and craftsmanship Guinness is known for.

Yinka Bakare, Director of Marketing and Innovations at Guinness Nigeria, commented on the consumer-centric strategy behind the launch: “Innovation at Guinness is guided by a deep and ongoing conversation with our consumers. The new 440ml Can is a testament to this commitment, giving our consumers more of the boldness, richness, and character they expect.”

Bakare added, “As Nigeria’s favourite stout, we want to give consumers more to enjoy and share. This new format not only elevates the experience but also reinforces why Guinness remains the stout of choice for millions.”

The new Guinness FES 440ml Can is now available nationwide across retail outlets, supermarkets, bars, and lounges. With this expansion of its packaging portfolio, Guinness Nigeria reaffirms its legacy of driving meaningful innovation focused on quality, value, and a rewarding experience for stout enthusiasts.
