Ghana: Mr. Wu’s opens new eatery branch in Awoshie

One of Ghana’s most popular Chinese food establishments, Mr. Wu’s has officially opened a new branch in Awoshie, adding to its expanding footprint in Accra.

Known for its authentic Chinese flavours, Mr. Wu’s has established itself as a top destination for Chinese cuisine in Ghana.

The new Awoshie location, bringing up the number of branches to four, is strategically placed in one of Accra’s bustling neighbourhoods, and aims to make Chinese dining more accessible to residents and visitors alike.

The branch features Mr. Wu’s signature menu items, including a wide range of stir-fried noodles, beef in chilli sauce, Egg fried rice, Chicken in Green Pepper sauce and the all-time favourite noodles.

Speaking about the expansion, Kwabena Koranteng, CEO of Mr. Wu’s, shared: “We have four branches, and in about a month, we will open another one in Dansoman. When it comes to our foods, our noodles are our favourites. We also have our egg-fried rice, and you will enjoy it; all you need is your shito. Our beef and chilli sauce are probably one of the best chilli sauces—if you like spicy foods. Our foods are spicier because we cater to customers who enjoy that kind of flavour.”

Newly Commissioned Eatery

He continued, “I like places where other businesses have not paid attention. Someone in Awoshie might travel far to find good food, so I’m here to serve those who aren’t being catered to.”

Customers can look forward to “a warm welcome from the staff, quality and tasty food, large portions, and relatively affordable prices,” Koranteng added.

“For those who have been patronizing our food, thank you, and for those yet to try, I urge them to come in and taste for themselves. We stand for quantity, quality, and affordability. I’m not just doing business to make money; I’m providing value for money.”

The opening ceremony was well attended by socially celebrated personalities including, Tiktok stars; SDK, and Williams.

Movie actress, Yvonne Okoro also graced the ceremony.

Mr. Wu’s now operates four branches: Legon, Tse Addo, Adjringanor, and the newly opened Awoshie location.
