Ghana: GBfoods holds first draw of ‘anigye aba fie’ promo in Kumasi

The first draw of GBfoods’ ‘anigye aba fie’ promo has been held successfully at the Kejetia Market in Kumasi, with two individuals winning the highest prize of a complete kitchen makeover.

The promo is part of activities to give back to customers of ‘Gino and Pomo’ products for their loyalty over the past 50 years of GBfoods presence in Africa.

“We are celebrating 50 years in Africa and, by extension, in Ghana. The people who made us who we are, are our cherished customers and consumers who are at home. We believe that things have become hard and since they have kept with us, there is the need for us to reward them. This Christmas came early for us to celebrate with one another and to reward our customers,” Marketing Director – GB Foods, Samuel Dery, said in an interview with journalists.

Kingsley Nyantakyi, who is a building engineer at Tikrom –Ejisu and Francisca Baiden, a teacher from Esereso Adagya, both won the first prize of a full kitchen makeover. A trader at Kejetia also won a 32 inches Nasco television set while another trader, Juliana Ofosua, took home T-shirts and products from GB Foods.

To enter the draw, consumers are to buy any Gino or Pomo products worth GH₵30 and text the short code *844*99# to reveal instant prizes. The more a customer buys,  the higher their chances of winning wonderful prizes.

This promo will be held in 30 markets across the country, as it seeks to target at least one million people.

After 50 years of satisfying its customers’ needs, Mr. Dery noted that GBfoods has this year invested about €5million to expand its factory as part of efforts to produce high quality products for the market. Additionally, GBfoods has secured over 100 hectares of land at Afram Plains to grow tomatoes to feed the factory and also create job opportunities.
