Vuyokazi Henda Joins Spur Board as Executive Director

South Africa’s leading restaurant franchisor, Spur Corporation, has appointed its Chief Marketing Officer, Vuyokazi Henda, as an Executive Director on the company’s board, effective 2 March 2026.

The appointment marks a significant leadership milestone for Henda, who has played a key role in shaping the company’s brand strategy and strengthening customer engagement since joining the group in May 2022.

Before moving to Spur, Henda built an extensive career at global consumer goods giant Unilever, where she contributed to sustained revenue growth, improved profitability, and successful brand turnarounds for several of South Africa’s most recognised consumer brands. Her international experience also includes a two-year assignment in London as a global brand manager.

At Spur Corporation, Henda leads the company’s marketing strategy, overseeing brand positioning and customer experience across the group’s diverse portfolio of 10 restaurant brands. These include popular dining chains such as Spur Steak Ranches, Panarottis, RocoMamas, and The Hussar Grill.

Chairman of the Board, Mike Bosman, welcomed the appointment, noting that Henda’s experience managing complex, multi-market consumer brands and her strong commercial insight would be instrumental in advancing the company’s long-term strategy and delivering sustainable value for stakeholders.

Reflecting on her journey with the organisation, Henda described the past three and a half years as both meaningful and rewarding.

“Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working on iconic brands that bring joy to customers through strong branding, impactful communication, and innovation,” she said.

According to Henda, joining the board provides an opportunity to expand that impact by contributing more directly to the company’s strategic direction and long-term growth.

Henda holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree from University of Cape Town, further underpinning her strong foundation in business leadership and brand management.
