Airtel Nigeria Launches 10th Annual 5 Days of Love Campaign

Airtel Nigeria has officially launched its 10th annual 5 Days of Love campaign, a heartwarming initiative aimed at spreading festive cheer by providing meals to thousands of underprivileged Nigerians. This year’s theme, “5 Days; 6 Cities; 6,000 Meals,” kicked off with an event at Holy Cross Cathedral School in Onikan, Lagos, where 1,000 individuals, including children, youth, and the elderly, enjoyed packed meals in a lively, celebratory atmosphere filled with joy and entertainment.

Speaking on the significance of the campaign, Airtel Nigeria CEO, Dinesh Balsingh, represented by Lagos Regional Operations Director, Peter Francis, highlighted that the initiative goes beyond meal distribution. “At Airtel, we pride ourselves on being a people-centred organization. This event is not only about providing meals; it is a meaningful way to connect with communities, share moments of warmth, joy, and togetherness, and create a vibrant atmosphere of celebration and love. Today reminds us of the core values of joy, love, kindness, and shared humanity that define this initiative and Airtel’s mission. Together, we can continue to make a lasting positive impact.”

Following the Lagos event, the 5 Days of Love campaign will move to Borno on December 17, Abuja on December 18, Enugu and Rivers States on December 19, and conclude in Osun State on December 20, 2024.

Executive Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Government Development Area, Honourable Muibi Alade Folawiyo, praised Airtel Nigeria for this thoughtful initiative, encouraging the company to continue its philanthropic efforts. “This is a remarkable act of kindness, and I appreciate Airtel for its dedication to uplifting lives and spreading love to individuals. I am grateful to Airtel Nigeria for spreading joy to us in this part of Lagos,” he remarked.

By fostering a spirit of togetherness and goodwill, Airtel continues to demonstrate its role as a socially responsible organization, creating lasting positive impacts during the festive season and beyond.
