Kenya: Kenya Airways to resume flights to Eldoret from March 25th, 2024

A leading airline in Kenya, Kenya Airways (KQ) is set to resume its flight services to and from Eldoret starting March 25th, 2024.

The national airline will fly to Eldoret five days a week, with flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Eldoret attracts both business and leisure travelers. It serves as the economic hub of Uasin Gishu, Eldoret which is a crucial trading center for various agricultural sectors including grain, dairy, and horticulture.

Kenya Airways, CEO, Allan Kilavuka, emphasized the strategic importance of reinstating flights to Eldoret, citing the airline’s dedication to bolstering regional connectivity and facilitating access to global markets.

“Our renewed focus on the domestic market reaffirms Kenya Airways’ pivotal role in advancing Africa’s economic prosperity. By connecting Eldoret to our extensive network, we aim to stimulate growth and foster lasting socio-economic development in the region.”

The relaunch of flights to Eldoret marks a significant milestone in Kenya Airways’ post-COVID-19 recovery journey.

“As Kenya Airways prepares to resume operations to Eldoret, travelers can expect exceptional service, world-class amenities, and the utmost commitment to safety and comfort. The airline remains committed in its mission to connect people, cultures, and markets, contributing to the prosperity and well-being of communities across Africa and beyond,” Kilavuka concluded.

Kenya Airways flies to 43 destinations globally, with 35 across Africa. It has a modern fleet featuring Boeing and Embraer aircraft and it operates from its hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
