Tecno Reignites Creativity with Its “Stop At Nothing”

Tecno is pushing more boundaries with its new audacious slogan “STOP AT NOTHING,” which was unveiled last year.

Tecno, a mobile phone brand owned by Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings, is among the top 10 premium smartphone brands in the World, with its sights on emerging markets. The premium smartphone brand focus is on becoming The Most Admired Stylish Smartphone and AIoT brand in the world’s emerging markets. Tecno keeps delivering on its brand vision (Style meets Innovation Technologies).

Its slogan “STOP AT NOTHING” pays tribute to the Human Pursuit of Purpose and Ambition, honoring “progressive mavericks”, the “young at heart” and young ones who keep staying resilient in the face of adversity.

Addressing the pressmen at a press briefing in Lagos, Attai Oguche, Marketing Manager for Tecno Mobile Nigeria disclosed that collaborating with media was a priority for it as a brand because most journalist interacts with different brands. The media also provides the right platform for them to recognize and avoid loopholes that affect other brands from serving their consumers needs.

While taking journalists through a presentation of their Brand Vision and Brand Strategy, Brand Logo Demonstration, New Slogan, Brand Attributes, and Milestone the brand had achieved in 2022 and answering questions, Oguche disclosed that Tecno is ahead of other brands in their quest for innovation as a brand, in areas like the launching of the first telescopic macro lens for smartphones in 2022, a feature which is expected to significantly improve the quality of macro shots and give to its users access to a whole new experience. The feature also allows users to take close-up shots without moving too close to the subject with its 5x optical zoom feature.

Commenting on Tecno’s partnership with Google, he said “TECNO has inked a strategic three-year partnership with Google on software that will further enhance the user experience and bring new dynamics to the smartphone market. The partnership will bring an optimized user experience for TECNO smartphones, where TECNO mobile devices will be at the forefront of delivering the latest Android updates, as well as power more seamless cross-device experiences” he said.

Speaking further on this he elucidated that “The partnership enables TECNO to continue delivering new Android updates in a timely manner. As TECNO pilots more novel breakthroughs via revolutionary partnerships, its users across more than 70 markets worldwide can expect more delightful and intuitive experiences with increased connectivity and accessibility”.

Tecno has also joined the first batch of smartphone manufacturing brands to release its Android 13 Beta version for their users as well as 5G-enabled technology.

Oguche also mentioned to journalists that 3 new stores have been opened at Alaba, Ikorodu, and Jakande in 2022, which would help its customers have easier access to buy Tecno phones and accessories. He also disclosed his brand impacts to customers which include customer engagement projects like the “Show me love Promo” “Budding Photographers Masterclass” “International Women’s Day” and the “Lagos Fashion Week”. Tecno also organized a short film contest where winners won prizes worth N3,000,000.

Tecno’s other achievements in the year 2022 include Winning the award for the Innovative Mobile Phone brand of the decade, delivering on the LIGHT UP MM2 project, and partnering with Nollywood on film production and documentaries which were shot with Tecno Smartphones. Oguche said there is more for Tecno customers in the new year.

Tecno’s brand ambassadors Tiwa Savage and Fireboy also represented the brand in their signature style while delivering on brand promises to their fans as influencers. When asked “What next”, Tecno urged its target audience to anticipate PHANTOM X2.
