Palmpay appoints Enakeno Umuteme as Head, Marketing & Communication

An intuitive financial app with account opening, money transfer and bill payments, Palmpay has appointed Enakeno Umuteme as the Head of Marketing and Communications.

In his new appointment, he will lead the strategic marketing communications and operational delivery of activity for the organisation.

Before his appointment, he was Head of Brand at Jumia Nigeria. He also served as the Brand Campaign Manager of the same company where he was charged with the responsibilities of ensuring adherence to all brand guidelines across all communication materials and brand representation.

Making the appointment known on his LinkedIn page, he wrote, “I have recently taken up a new role as Head of Marketing and Communication at Palmpay. Looking Forward to it being an interesting ride! Wish me the very best!”

With over 8 year experience gained from end to end account management of leading multinational companies, Enakeno is a brand marketing and communications Strategist, and an integrated communications planning expert.

He has a keen understanding of the media landscape and pristine grasp of data, analytics and ability to produce meaningful insights and recommendation from it. His expertise ranges from building brands to content creation and marketing, ATL & BTL marketing as well as influencer marketing.

Enakeno started his career at Nigerian Breweries as a Recruitment Admin Assistant where he constantly maintains and update the database for job description, management moves and staff appraisal. He then moved to Human Capacity Development Consultants Limited as HR Analyst with the responsibility of handling recruitment and selection for various clients.

Other places he has worked include Allseasons Media as Media Executive, Research and Data Analyst and Media Account Executive, Planner, and Strategist; mediaReach OMD as Account Management, Media Planning and Strategy; and Dentsu International as Senior Media Manager.

Enakeno has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from University of Benin.
