Nigerian Breweries Plc, the country’s pioneering and largest brewing company, has launched Big Fiesta, a vibrant new cultural platform set to energize Nigeria’s upcoming major social season with music, shared experiences, and nationwide festivities.
The initiative was officially unveiled at an exclusive Big Fiesta Media Luncheon held at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The event brought together leading media professionals, cultural influencers, entertainment personalities, and industry stakeholders for an afternoon of engaging discussions, immersive brand showcases, and celebratory vibes.
Building on the resounding success of its Legendary Christmas campaign during last year’s Detty December, Nigerian Breweries is channeling that momentum into Big Fiesta—a unified calendar designed to capture the post-holiday resurgence of social life.
As Nigerians travel home, reconnect with family and friends, and return to concerts, festivals, and community gatherings, the platform aims to amplify these cultural rhythms through coordinated events across multiple cities.
Sarah Agha, Marketing Director at Nigerian Breweries Plc, highlighted the platform’s alignment with the company’s core purpose during the launch.
“At Nigerian Breweries, our purpose is to build the joy of togetherness, and in a country like Nigeria, that couldn’t be more relevant,” Agha said. “We are a people who love to celebrate everything—not just the occasions themselves, but the moments that bring us together, whether it’s family, friends or even strangers. That’s why we continue to invest in creating experiences that reflect how Nigerians connect and celebrate, because for us, it’s not just about building brands, it’s about creating meaningful moments that people can share.”

The Big Fiesta lineup spans diverse cities and features a rich array of events powered by the company’s portfolio of brands. Key highlights include:
- Amstel Malta Village activations in Enugu, Onitsha, and Aba
- Heineken presents Young Jonn Live concert in Abuja and City of Cities Live in Port Harcourt
- Flavour Concert in Aba, powered by Life Beer
- The Phyno Experience in Enugu with Tiger
- Desperados’ Road Block Party in Lagos
Additional experiences encompass Afro Wonderland in Lagos, Mak Town Festival in Makurdi, Songs & Stories with Cobhams in Abuja, and cultural showcases like Egbaliganza in Abeokuta—creating a broad, inclusive calendar that mirrors Nigeria’s regional diversity.

The media luncheon featured a dynamic fireside conversation titled “From Legendary Christmas to Big Fiesta: How Big Celebrations Shape Culture, Creativity & Business.” Panelists including MI Abaga, Sarah Agha, Uche Pedro, Godwin Tom, Kiekie, and Samuel Onyemelukwe explored the intersection of brands, artists, and audiences in fueling Nigeria’s creative economy.
As Nigerian Breweries marks 80 years of brewing excellence in Nigeria, Big Fiesta underscores its enduring commitment to fostering connection and joy through the moments that matter most. With events rolling out across the country in the coming weeks, the platform is poised to define this season as a nationwide celebration of music, culture, and togetherness.
