Nigeria: UAC Foods appoints Ayo Awosika as General Manager, Commercial

One of Nigeria’s leading FMCG giants, UAC Foods Limited has appointed Ayo Awosika as its General Manager, Commercial.

The seasoned executive brings over 13 years of extensive strategic and commercial leadership experience spanning the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), beverages and technology sectors across sub-Saharan Africa to bear, in his new position.

Prior to joining UAC Foods, Awosika held key management roles at several leading multinational corporations. He has honed his expertise in critical areas such as strategy design and implementation, route-to-market design, distributor operations management, P&L oversight and more. His ability to drive strategic initiatives that deliver bottom-line impact has been tested and proven.

He was Franchise Operations Director at The Coca-Cola Company where he led the growth agenda with bottling partner of Nigeria franchise. Other places he has worked include Procter and Gamble and NHAMES Limited.

Ayo holds a BSc in Economics and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Olabisi Onabanjo University & Babcock University respectively. He is an Associate Member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). He also holds a doctor of business administration in international business and strategy.
