Ghana: Mandilas Group Introduces Vestel Air-conditioners in Accra

A leading provider of air-conditioning for domestic and commercial buildings with unrivalled expertise and excellence, Mandilas Group has launched its ranges of Vestel air-conditioners in Accra. The company was incorporated in 1956 as a 50/50 joint-venture between Manilas Group and some industrious Ghanaians.

Speaking at the event, Ruth Anson, General Manager-Mandilas Ghana, said the company has a strong focus on being Africa’s trusted lifestyle solutions provider.

“We offer a broad range of cooling solutions through the supply, sale and maintenance of industrial, commercial and residential air-conditioning units backed by unrivalled after sales support.” She said

She highlighted that the company in partnership with Carrier Incorporation USA introduced Carrier ACs to the Ghanaian market in the early years of its inception. “Our business operations in Ghana were centred on the importation, distribution, sales, installation, repairs and maintenance of Carrier Industrial and Commercial ACs.

“Mandilas Group as a company is strongly premised on offering products and services that are unequalled in our countries of operation, with efficient after-sales support.  Our mission statement goes beyond just being a business conglomerate; we exist to improve the quality of life for all our stakeholders.  This outlook is the propelling force behind our becoming a conglomerate of vibrant and formidable corporate entities,” she added.

Present at the launch were: Rosaline Ampah, Chairperson, Board of Directors-Ghana; Ola Debayo-Doherty, Representative, Majority Shareholder; Steve Sirtis, Member, Board of Directors-Ghana; and Ama Adu-Asare.

Mandilas Group is an iconic brand founded by John Basil Mandilas. Through foresight, what started as a cocoa trading business metamorphised into a conglomerate during May 1950 in Nigeria. Integrity was a matter of precedence set by our founder, and is the reason every product and service rendered by Mandilas Group is unparalleled in excellence and quality.

The company, over the years, has strived with other conglomerates; and despite the micro- and macro-economic challenges, the Group has succeeded in achieving recognition as a reliable and credible partner in Ghana as well as in Nigeria.

Mandilas has fostered partnerships with some of the most successful global brands: namely Volkswagen, Nissan, Electrolux, Peugeot, Carrier, Toyota to name a few. Through these partnerships, we have been involved in introducing some of the best products in the world to Nigeria today. Mandilas Nigeria presently operates two distinct divisions: namely the Mobility and Cooling divisions.
