FirstBank, Visa Launch premium card with Visa signature

First Bank of Nigeria Limited, in partnership with Visa, has launched the Visa Signature Card, a premium offering tailored for Nigeria’s affluent customers, including top executives, business owners, and frequent international travelers.

The newly introduced card is designed to deliver exclusive lifestyle benefits, global travel privileges, and curated merchant offers through Visa’s worldwide acceptance network, giving high-spending Nigerians seamless access to premium experiences both locally and internationally.

With Visa Global Benefits and Visa Destination Offers, cardholders will enjoy preferential rates, priority services, luxury experiences, and special deals across hundreds of partner merchants, airlines, hotels, and destinations worldwide. The card also supports smooth domestic and cross-border transactions, ensuring users can make payments effortlessly whether in Lagos, London, Dubai, or other global destinations.

Speaking on the launch, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, eBusiness & Retail Products at FirstBank, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to evolving with the lifestyle needs of its premium customers.

“At FirstBank, we are dedicated to creating financial solutions that reflect the evolving lifestyles of our customers. We understand that our premium customers aspire to experiences that reflect their global outlook. Visa Signature is crafted to meet those expectations, offering access to exclusive experiences, global connectivity, and lifestyle privileges that empower our customers to live without boundaries. We remain focused on creating value and reinforcing our position as the partner of first choice for Nigerians at home and abroad.”

Also commenting on the partnership, Andrew Uaboi, Vice President and Cluster Head, West Africa, Visa, described Nigeria’s affluent consumers as some of the continent’s most active global spenders.

“Nigeria’s affluent consumers are among the most active and globally connected spenders on the continent. Visa Signature is designed to serve that profile with the depth of benefits and the breadth of acceptance they deserve. We are delighted to work with FirstBank in making this available to the Nigerian market.”

The launch represents another strategic move by FirstBank to strengthen its premium banking portfolio. The bank’s existing Visa offerings already cater to millions of Nigerians through products such as Visa Infinite, Visa Gold, Naira Credit, and Visa Prepaid cards, supporting retail payments, online transactions, and cross-border commerce.

With the introduction of Visa Signature, FirstBank is adding a dedicated premium tier aimed at rewarding affluent customers with the recognition, convenience, and privileges that match their spending profile.

The Visa Signature Card is now available to eligible FirstBank customers nationwide. Interested customers can apply by visiting any FirstBank branch or contacting their dedicated relationship manager.
