First Bank empowers vendors to Restate commitment and Partners

Foremost Financial institution, during its inaugural vendor engagement session in Lagos recently said it will continue to introduce initiatives to ensure efficient and seamless customer banking service.

The statement was made by the bank when it organised its inaugural vendor engagement session aimed at enhancing its relationship with strategic service suppliers, with the theme, “Building resilience in our vendors businesses,” recently.

It expressed its commitment towards maximising the benefits of long-term partnership and collaboration with vendors by streamlining every stage of the supplier’s sustainability and development.

Speaking on at the event, Group Head, Procurement, First Bank, Damilola Adisa, noted that the bank had been able to exist for 125 years by ensuring that practices of sustainable business and partnerships were maintained within the bank.

“We also look into our code of ethics and conducts alongside business continuity management and planning which are structures that are necessary in becoming a viable player in the market, she explains.

Speaking further, she said: “This engagement is also aimed at enlightening our vendors on where we as a bank are strategically heading to so as to enable them to align with our cooperate and procurement strategy to move forward.

“Considering the automation and innovations, we are engaging the vendors on how they can perform better to ensure that things such as transparency, efficiency, value creation and aspects they consider as vital towards an enhanced operation in their business are in place, she added.

In her concluding statement, she said, “we believe that with this kind of process, we are able to better analyse our relationships and spend which would help us work with our partners and vendors better.”
