Ecobank delivers on ‘double salary’ promise as over 50 customers win big in first draw

One of the largest financial services providers, Ecobank Ghana has fulfilled its promise to “double, triple and even quadruple salaries”, as over 50 customers became winners in the first draw of its Double Salary Promo.

The draw took place in Accra and was supervised by the National Lotteries Authority (NLA).

After over four rounds of the draw, 30 individuals had their salaries doubled, 20 had theirs tripled and an additional three customers had their salaries for May quadrupled.

During the draw, the Executive Director of Ecobank, Dr. Edward Nartey Botchway reiterated the bank’s commitment to its customers, especially during the prevailing macroeconomic downturn.

Responding to questions about why the bank decided to continue with the promotion during this time, Dr. Botchway stated, “I have had many questions as to why we have decided to continue with the promo, especially, at such a time and the more I ponder on it, the more my response is: why not? Our customers have displayed immense loyalty and it is important that we are able to give back to them”.

In the first edition of the promo, which was held in 2022, 240 Ecobank customers had their pay cheques doubled across three draws. This was in addition to receiving consolation prizes.

Two subsequent draws of this edition are scheduled for July and August, benefiting customers receiving their June and July salaries respectively through their Ecobank Salary Account.

The Executive Director stressed that while the promo was exciting, it was, however, timebound. He, therefore, encouraged existing and prospective customers to take advantage of the numerous benefits of the Ecobank Salary Account, which remains available indefinitely.

“Our products at Ecobank are well thought through, and if you are looking for reasons to be part of the Ecobank customer base, you already have enough reasons. What is offered is not just the doubling of the salary but the value of the account. Beyond this draw, you can always benefit from the Salary account in more ways than one,” he explained.

The custom account offers numerous advantages compared to traditional accounts, providing customers with enhanced value for their money. Account holders enjoy benefits such as free life insurance, the ability to save while spending, a free debit card, no minimum balance requirement, no card maintenance fees, and access to mobile and Internet banking services.
