Dentsu Creative Nigeria Appoints Uduak Akpan Group Creative Director

Dentsu Creative Nigeria has announced the appointment of Uduak Akpan as its new Group Creative Director, a strategic move aimed at strengthening the agency’s creative output and delivering higher-value, insight-driven solutions for clients.

The agency, part of the global Dentsu network, said the appointment reinforces its commitment to transformative creativity and innovation, positioning creativity as a key driver of brand differentiation, business growth, and competitive advantage in an increasingly dynamic marketplace.

In his new role, Akpan will lead the creative vision for Dentsu Creative Nigeria, driving a cohesive and elevated standard of craft across branding, identity, digital, and experiential platforms. His mandate includes ensuring that every creative output combines aesthetic excellence with clear strategic and business impact for clients.

He will also play a critical role in strengthening the agency’s creative capabilities, mentoring emerging talent while setting new benchmarks for world-class creative excellence within the organisation.

Akpan brings over a decade of experience in brand and marketing communications, having worked with some of Nigeria’s leading creative agencies, including X3M Ideas, Anakle, Yellow Brick Road, Flow, and Bates Cosse.

Throughout his career, he has delivered impactful campaigns for a wide range of global and local brands such as MTN, Etisalat, Spotify, Pernod Ricard, National Basketball Association, and Access Bank.

Beyond his agency work, Akpan has also contributed to the advancement of the creative industry by serving as a jury member on leading African award platforms, including The Loeries, Pitchers Festival of Creativity, and Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival.

The appointment signals Dentsu Creative Nigeria’s continued focus on creative excellence, talent development, and delivering innovative solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes for brands.
