Bolt Expands into Local Grocery Delivery Market

Ride-hailing platform Bolt has announced its expansion into the grocery delivery market with the launch of Bolt Market. This new service aims to tap into the growing demand for fast, on-demand grocery delivery, positioning itself as a reliable and convenient option for customers.

Starting December 11, 2024, Bolt Market will allow customers to place grocery delivery orders from 8am to 11pm and schedule deliveries up to 24 hours in advance. Initially, the service will operate within a 10-kilometre radius of its market store in Kilimani.

“Integrated seamlessly into the Bolt Food app, Bolt Market customers can access over 2,000 carefully curated products in the stores, ranging from fresh produce from local providers to household essentials and beverages,” Bolt stated.

This strategic expansion aims to challenge the dominance of existing grocery delivery services and provide customers with a convenient and efficient way to shop for groceries. By offering a wide range of products and ensuring timely deliveries, Bolt Market seeks to enhance the overall shopping experience for its customers.
