Cybervergent has appointed Maxime Jamar as Head of Sales, Africa, a strategic move poised to accelerate growth across the continent.

With his extensive track record in cybersecurity sales and business development, Jamar is set to drive innovative strategies, fostering partnerships and expanding market presence in this dynamic sector.

Foundations in Sales Excellence

Jamar’s career began with foundational roles as a Sales Consultant and Shop Manager at A3-COM, an Orange Partner, where he honed skills in sales performance. Progressing to Junior and Senior Inside Sales Representative positions at ServiceSource, he mastered international business development, Salesforce.com utilization, cold calling, and identifying new opportunities, laying a strong groundwork for high-stakes sales environments.

Mastering Channel and Alliance Strategies

As Cybersecurity Alliance Sales & Partner Business Manager EMEA at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Jamar managed the full sales cycle for security products like ArcSight, Fortify, Atalla, and Voltage. He supervised pre-sales engineers and sales teams, built go-to-market strategies with partners, optimized distribution channels, and achieved exceptional targets through strategic account mapping, POC/POV demonstrations, and MDF management. His efforts enhanced customer satisfaction and expanded market reach via channel ecosystems.

Pioneering Cybersecurity Solutions

In roles at Arxan Technologies and Delinea (first stint) as Cybersecurity Regional Sales Manager, Jamar secured enterprise accounts, renewed subscriptions to boost revenue, and conducted requirements gathering with stakeholders. He collaborated on solution designs, presented use cases, and organized POC/POV initiatives that closed sales and built pipelines in new markets. These positions emphasized consultative selling, identity & access management, and C-level relationships.

Driving Business Development and Expansion

Elevating to Cybersecurity Vice President Of Business Development at CyberSOC Africa and Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Next Solutions Limited, Jamar developed robust sales infrastructures, boosted performance by over 50%, and exceeded targets while building SOC services for African enterprises. He forged strategic alliances with OEMs and VAS providers, managed forecasting, led pre-sales teams, and directed consulting missions, focusing on B2B growth and new market expansions.

Leading Regional Sales and Innovation

At Delinea (second stint) and Accredit Solutions as Regional Sales Manager EMEA, Jamar redesigned partner ecosystems, positioned companies as industry leaders, and implemented tactics for revenue growth across Benelux, France, Middle East, and Africa. He facilitated workshops, established SOWs, and hunted opportunities in cybersecurity, cyber defense, and access control, showcasing expertise in strategic partnerships and market positioning.
