Joy Tim-Ayoola, Group Head of Mobile Experience, Samsung Electronics West Africa, has been awarded the prestigious Mobile Experience Business Leader of the Year at the 14th edition of the Marketing World Awards (MWA) in Ghana.
The honour, presented during a star-studded award ceremony on November 27, 2025, at the iconic Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, celebrates Tim-Ayoola’s visionary leadership in driving innovation, revenue growth, and transformative customer experiences across West Africa’s dynamic mobile ecosystem.
With over 16 years of expertise in sales operations, retail channel management, business analytics, and strategic B2C/B2B marketing, Tim-Ayoola has been instrumental in elevating Samsung’s Mobile Experience division.
Under her stewardship, the team has spearheaded groundbreaking product launches, including the Galaxy A Series, and the AI-integrated Galaxy S25 series, alongside pioneering initiatives like local language integration (Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba) on Galaxy devices to bridge the digital divide. Her focus on market intelligence, FinTech partnerships, and inclusive strategies has not only boosted brand awareness and sales through retail excellence but also empowered consumers with accessible, secure, and innovative mobile solutions tailored to African realities.
The MWA, organised by InstinctWave Group in partnership with MarketingWorld Magazine, recognised over 50 organisations and individuals for their exceptional contributions to the marketing and communications landscape. Spanning categories from banking and FMCG to digital media and public sector, the awards underscore the resilience and rapid evolution of West Africa’s marketing sector amid economic challenges.
