Qatar Airways, Kenya Airways launch codeshare to 19 destinations

Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways have unveiled a landmark codeshare agreement, unlocking seamless travel to 19 destinations across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, with plans for further expansion. Effective October 26, 2025, passengers can book flights starting tomorrow, connecting through Nairobi and the award-winning Hamad International Airport in Doha.

This enhanced partnership enables Kenya Airways customers to access Doha and 10 additional destinations, including Bahrain, Colombo, Islamabad, Karachi, Malé, Tokyo Narita, and Singapore, via three daily flights from Nairobi to Doha.

Conversely, Qatar Airways passengers gain access to eight key African destinations in Kenya Airways’ network, such as Lilongwe, Livingstone, Juba, Nampula, Ndola, and Victoria Falls. The codeshare flights, supported by robust demand, strengthen connectivity for leisure and business travelers alike.

Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, hailed the partnership’s rapid progress, noting, “This enhancement reflects our collaborative efforts to bolster our presence in Kenya and Africa. The recent addition of a third daily flight to Nairobi underscores our commitment to seamless, reliable connectivity for passengers worldwide.”

We’re dedicated to offering our customers expanded flight options, smoother connections, and an exceptional travel experience.”

The agreement amplifies Qatar Airways’ growing footprint in Africa, linking passengers from over 170 global destinations to vibrant African hubs. Kenya Airways passengers, meanwhile, can tap into Hamad International Airport—named the Middle East’s best for 11 consecutive years—to reach dynamic markets in Asia and beyond. Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will also earn Avios on Kenya Airways-operated codeshare flights, enhancing traveler benefits.

Beyond codeshares, the airlines are deepening collaboration in airport operations, lounges, sustainability, procurement, network development, cargo, and aircraft maintenance. This strategic alliance promises to redefine travel convenience, connecting passengers to a broader world with unparalleled ease.
