Tecno Appoints Olumide Yomi-Omolayo as Marketing Manager

A global leader in technology, Tecno has appointed Olumide Yomi-Omolayo as its Marketing Manager.

In his new role, Yomi-Omolayo will be leading a diverse team in driving brand visibility and engaging key accounts as well as leading strategic marketing campaigns and significantly enhancing in-market presence.

He is a smart, intelligent and hardworking professional with capabilities to provide excellent and professional services in a challenging working environment. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of financial, marketing and other socio-economic matters.

Prior to his new appointment, he served as a Brand Marketing Specialist at Wema Bank. He also served as Brand/Reputational Management and Content Marketing in the same company.

Olumide also served as Brand and Content Lead at Eden Life Inc., where he handled major projects such as rebranding and overseeing awareness campaigns, and as well managing the Big Brother Naija partnership for Homemade meals, generating over millions of impressions.


He launched Eden Marketplace, onboarding over 100 vendors and attracting 1,000 new customers within the first month, and revamped the menu shoot process and creative direction for Homemade meals (digital & product), resulting in increased sales and brand positioning.

The Marketing communications professional has curated a comprehensive content strategy for Eden & Homemade brands, outlining content pillars, schedules, and types – illustrating strategic planning and content marketing expertise.

He has also revived the brand reputation after a critical sales campaign through effective storytelling and strategic -communication, leading to a single-day sale exceeding 500 meals – demonstrating crisis management skills and sales leadership potential. Conceptualized and executed successful seasonal campaigns (Valentine’s Day & Christmas), resulting in significant sales increases (200+ Valentine’s Day boxes, new food tray & gift box launches).

He is an Associate Chartered Banker of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Olumide holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Bowen University and a Master of Science in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communications from the University of Lagos.
