NCBA Group has entered a strategic vehicle financing partnership with TransAfrica Motors Limited in Mombasa, aimed at supporting the expanding regional trade and the growing demand for commercial transport solutions across Kenya and the wider East African region.
As the market leader and recognised home of asset finance, NCBA continues to broaden its portfolio of specialised financing schemes designed to help businesses convert growth ambitions into tangible assets. Under the new agreement, small and medium-sized enterprises, fleet owners and corporates can access up to 90 percent financing on FAW commercial vehicles.
The facility offers flexible repayment terms of up to 60 months and includes a 60-day repayment moratorium from the date of vehicle release. This structured approach enables transport and logistics operators to deploy new assets immediately while protecting critical cash flow and preserving working capital.

Lennox Mugambi, Group Director of Asset Finance and Business Solutions at NCBA, highlighted the timing and importance of the partnership. “Kenya’s transport and logistics sectors are entering a new phase of growth, driven by increasing trade volumes, infrastructure development and regional commerce.

Businesses need financing solutions that move at the same pace as opportunity. Through this partnership, we are making it easier for entrepreneurs, fleet owners and corporates to acquire the vehicles they need while protecting their cash flow and preserving working capital,” he said.

The collaboration reflects NCBA’s broader commitment to removing capital barriers that often constrain business expansion. By providing tailored asset finance solutions, the bank seeks to empower entrepreneurs and established operators alike, enabling them to scale operations with greater confidence amid rising commercial activity across Kenya and East Africa.

Through this partnership, NCBA reinforces its position as a key enabler of enterprise growth, ensuring that transport and logistics businesses have access to the financing tools required to capitalise on emerging opportunities in regional trade.
